Nevada Supreme Court Upholds Foreclosure Sale of Federally Insured Property
The Nevada Supreme Court has ruled that federal law did not preempt a Nevada law providing for a superpriority lien by a homeowners' association on up to nine months of unpaid association dues even where the first deed of trust on the property was insured through the Federal Housing Administration.  Read More

The Nebraska Supreme Court has reversed a trial court's ruling that an insurer had properly canceled three motor vehicle insurance policies before the insured's accident, finding that a postal form did not indicate that the cancelation notices had been sent via certified mail as required by Nebraska law.  Read More

No Coverage for Accident Where Admissible Evidence Indicated Driver Did Not Have Permission to Leave Parking Lot
A federal district court in Connecticut has ruled that an insurance company did not have to defend a lawsuit stemming from an auto accident involving a rental vehicle where the admissible evidence indicated that the driver of the rental vehicle did not have the renter's permission to drive the car while the renter was in a restaurant.  Read More
